Petitions filed to recall council
A Ferndale resident filed petitions Thursday with the Oakland County clerk to recall four of the five members of the Ferndale City Council, according to county documents. In his petitions, Robert Sinclair omitted only Mayor David Coulter, who was sworn in this month to fill a vacancy. The recall language, before it can go on a ballot, must be certified for clarity by the Oakland County Elections Commission, Ferndale City Clerk Cherilynn Tallman said. As his reason for demanding the recalls, Sinclair’s petitions cite only “financial mismanagement.”
